This weeks photo is from a recent hike up Black Mountain. This is one photo among many of native plants from the day. This one was special as this was my first wild Rhododendron. Rhododendrons have perhaps the most showy flowers in the heath family and have been cultivated extensively with almost 30,000 hybrids and cultivars.
